We are currently seeking enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistants to join our team in Barnsley. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and supporting children’s development, both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting both students and the classroom teacher on a daily basis. Your key duties will include:
* Supporting classroom teachers in delivering creative and engaging lessons that inspire students to learn.
* Assisting with the planning and preparation of learning activities, ensuring lessons meet the needs of all pupils.
* Providing personalised one-to-one support to students with a range of needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN), to help them overcome learning challenges.
* Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, offering feedback, and helping them achieve their individual learning goals.
* Promoting positive behaviour and ensuring a safe, supportive learning environment for all pupils.
What We’re Looking For:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* A genuine passion for education and a desire to make a difference in the lives of children.
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a related educational support role (preferred but not essential).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.
* A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate) is an advantage but not essential - what matters most is your dedication to helping pupils succeed.
