PA Ross is an innovative leader in the UK food industry, known for successfully developing and bringing bakery, frozen, and impulse products to major retailers. With over 20 years of experience, we’re skilled in every aspect from concept to shelf placement, leveraging deep industry relationships and insights. The PA Ross team embodies a forward-thinking, problem-solving approach, excelling in sales, marketing, product development, and category management. Joining them means becoming part of a team dedicated to making products thrive in a competitive market through expertise, creativity, and strategic vision. We’re a company who empower every team member to make a real impact.
This is a part time role, working 5 hours per day Monday - Friday. Start and end times to suit you and could fit very nicely around school runs if you have family commitments.
In this role, you’ll support our compliance and product quality processes. You’ll assist with setting up new products, checking packaging accuracy, managing consumer queries, and coordinating with manufacturing and distribution teams to ensure compliance with food safety standards. It’s a great role to get involved with the business and there will be opportunity to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
*Product Setup Support: Assist with data entry for new product setups, ensuring that technical details align with specifications.
*Packaging and Artwork Checks: Help review artwork and packaging to ensure compliance with food standards.
*Compliance Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of food safety and quality checks, and support audit documentation.
*Consumer Inquiries: Manage incoming consumer questions and complaints, working with relevant teams to provide timely responses.
*Quality Support: Coordinate with suppliers to support compliance with basic food safety checks and testing requirements.
Skills & Experience
*Attention to Detail: Comfortable with precise data entry and checking specifications.
*Interest in Food Safety: Basic familiarity with food safety and compliance standards is helpful; training is provided.
*Organisational Skills: Able to keep accurate records and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
*Communication Skills: Friendly and professional when managing consumer inquiries and team coordination.
The Perks
Knutsford is easy to reach by train or car (and there’s free parking at our site!) and the area is highly sought after. It’s a beautiful town with everything you need, plus, the well known Tatton Park which makes a great walk for a lunch break. You might even see the deer!
We offer flexibility on hours. The role will predominantly be in the office as teamwork and collaboration is key but there is the opportunity to work from home when the time requires.
You’ll be joining a small team and be part of the big picture with regular taste tests of products!
Statutory holidays and pension scheme provided.
