Job Description:
Shift Engineer - Boxford
The Shift Engineer will be responsible to provide maintenance and engineering service support for Site, driving improved performance and cost, services and quality - reporting to the Engineering Manager
Roles & Responsibilities
*Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on FMCG production and packaging machinery, as well as associated process plant
*Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns, minimising downtime
*Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to support machine reliability
*Support/lead production line improvements/project initiatives driving efficiency
*A key focus of the role is on development of proactive fault prevention and continuous improvement activity
*Results focused to ensure that repairs are carried out in a timely and professional manner
Knowledge, Skills & Experience + Qualifications Required
*Strong technical competence in FMCG environment
*Completed an apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical engineering
*Promotes safe working practices
*Multi skilled electrical & mechanical - Experienced production environment with plc, pneumatic control with a high mechanical aptitude with good diagnostic skills
*Electrical qualifications: *City & Guilds level 3 is a minimum requirement *City & Guilds 2365 - 236, 2330 or 2360 or 2351 or HNC
*City & Guilds 2391 inspection and testing (desirable)
*18th Edition (desirable)
Shift pattern:
4-week shift rotation as follows: DAYS 06:00 - 18:00NIGHTS 18:00 - 06:00
*Week-1: Monday, Tuesday = DAYS - Friday Saturday and Sunday = NIGHTS
*Week-2: Wednesday, Thursday = DAYS
*Week-3: Monday, Tuesday = NIGHTS - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday = DAYS
*Week-4: Wednesday, Thursday = NIGHTS
