Hours: Part-time, 11.25 hours per week. Working pattern can be discussed at interview however, you’ll be required to work most weekends and Bank Holidays.

What it’s like to work here Reporting to the Collections and House Manager, you’ll be joining a team of 2 Collections and House Officers and 1 Collections Assistant.
The outstanding art collection is one of the main attractions to this beautiful Italian-inspired mansion. As one of the National Trust’s ’treasure houses’, the 45 strong team have exciting times ahead as they embark on major conservation projects to preserve this 8,500 estate and its rare collection of artefacts. A Japanese garden and tearoom and community growing spaces are also among the key attractions at Kingston Lacy.

What you’ll be doing As a Collections Assistant, you’ll be working with a great housekeeping team in an incredible place, helping with the day-to-day cleaning and care of the collections. No detail will go unnoticed, and you’ll keep a keen eye on everything from the environmental conditions in a room, to signs of wear and tear. You’ll keep accurate records too.
In this visitor facing role, we’d love you to talk to visitors about the work you’re doing, and the collections we have. You’ll also be part of the wider team of employees and volunteers, helping to cover where necessary.
