Job Opportunity: Quantity Surveyor - Join a Leading Civil Engineering & Groundworks Specialist!
Are you a skilled Quantity Surveyor seeking your next challenge? Our client, a well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor, is looking for experienced Quantity Surveyors to join their team. Operating across the Midlands and beyond, they specialise in delivering high-quality infrastructure, earthworks, and groundworks projects.
Role Overview As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing the commercial aspects of projects, ensuring successful delivery within budget and timescales. You’ll work closely with project teams to provide cost-effective solutions and drive excellence across all phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities *Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flows.
*Conduct accurate cost reporting, valuations, and final accounts.
*Manage subcontractor accounts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
*Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks.
*Collaborate with project teams to ensure project objectives are met.
*Produce detailed cost breakdowns and tender documents.
*Provide support for procurement and contract negotiations.
Requirements *Proven experience in groundworks, civils, or earthworks projects.
*Strong understanding of contract law, particularly NEC or JCT contracts.
*Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
*Proficiency in industry-standard software and Microsoft Office Suite.
*Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
*Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
