Description
The Group Management Accountant will be responsible for:
*Manage the group consolidation process and prepare consolidated financial statements
*Lead the coordination of external audits and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards
*Develop and maintain robust financial controls and processes across the group
*Provide expert tax advice and oversee tax planning initiatives
*Produce insightful financial analysis and reports for senior management
*Collaborate with various departments to drive process improvements and efficiency’s
*Support M&A activities with financial due diligence and integration planning
Profile
The Ideal candidate will be:
*Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with demonstrable post-qualification experience
*Strong background in group accounting within a complex, multi-entity structure
*In-depth knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations
*Previous experience in external audit, preferably within the FMCG sector
*Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
*Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels
*Proficiency in advanced Excel and financial reporting systems
*Able to commute to commute to St. Albans a couple days a week
