Job Description:
MECHANICAL BIASED MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
LOCATION - GATESHEAD
SALARY £40,016 INCLUDING SHIFT ALLOWANCE
SHIFTS - CONTINENTAL (4 SHIFT ROATION)
Zenith People are working with our client who are a Manufacturer based here in the North-East and are looking for an experienced, Time-served Mechanical Biased Maintenance Technician to join their team on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
*Work proactively to maintain and repair equipment across multiple areas of the plant.
*Promptly respond to breakdowns and planned maintenance work.
*To carry out routine Mechanical Maintenance e.g. Pumps, bearings etc and to assist in electrical maintenance wherever possible.
*To always work safely observing instructions, procedures, permits, safety systems, lock offs, and other protocols applicable.
*To maintain plant and equipment both reactively (e.g. breakdowns), and proactively (e.g. PPMs, spares build-up).
*To identify root causes wherever possible and to communicate with relevant personnel.
*To communicate all relevant and necessary information with lead technician, maintenance technician, colleagues or others within the organisation.
*To hand over any work which remains incomplete at the end of a shift
*To refer to records, drawings, manuals, and other material as necessary
*To comply with all company policies and rules
Qualifications:
*Completed Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
*Qualified to a minimum standard of ONC/HND/HNC/NVQ Level 3.
