The role is based in the Great Chesterford area of South Cambridgeshire.
The Role:
*Preparing lab materials and solutions
*Lab activities, including some light machining and assembly
*Carrying out inspection and testing
*Maintaining and calibrating lab equipment
*Monitoring and maintaining lab stocks
About You:
*Qualified or experienced in a science/engineering related discipline
*Previous experience working in a mechanical, engineering or electronics environment, ideally incorporating mechanical assembly, use of mills/drills - ideally in an R&D environment
*Intricate, methodical approach to assembly, material preparation and testing
*Understanding H&S in a lab context
*Understanding of 5S and/or other continuous improvement tools
*Experience of wet chemistry techniques would also be useful
