Job Description:
*Job Type: Full-time, Monday - Friday (days)
*Salary: Up to £37,000
We are seeking an Assembly Supervisor to lead a dedicated team of assemblers in the manufacture of bespoke machinery. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for quality and continuous improvement in both production processes and team efficiency. The successful candidate will also be hands-on, engaging in machinery assembly tasks approximately 50% of the time, and able to motivate other team members to hit desired deadlines to contiguously improve output.
Day-to-day of the role: *Oversee the daily operations of the assembly team, ensuring all projects are completed to a high standard and on schedule.
*Actively participate in the assembly of bespoke machinery, demonstrating best practices and leading by example.
*Monitor and evaluate the quality of assembled products, implementing continuous improvement strategies to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
*Train and mentor assembly team members, fostering a collaborative and skilled workforce.
*Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operation and timely completion of projects.
*Manage resources effectively, including scheduling and the allocation of manpower and materials.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in machinery assembly.
*Strong technical skills and hands-on experience in machinery assembly.
*Excellent leadership and team management skills.
*A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
*Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
