Job Description:
Legal Assistant (conveyancing)
*Location: Brighton
*Job Type: Full-time
*Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 per year
We are seeking a proactive Legal Assistant to join our conveyancing team. The ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of conveyancing procedures including completion, stamping, and registration. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Conducting matter opening and closing.
*Drafting property contracts and transfers.
*Preparing and coordinating completions.
*Handling stamping and registration tasks.
*Providing administrative support for compliance issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar administrative role within a legal environment.
*Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information accurately.
*Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
*Proficient in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
*Exceptional customer service skills with a professional demeanour when interacting with clients and colleagues.
*A relevant qualification in law or paralegal studies is advantageous but not essential.
