Social Worker Family Court - Full Time *Annual Salary: £41,550 - £46,332
*Location: Chelmsford, Essex
*Job Type: Full Time, Hybrid (2 days in office per week)
Join our dedicated team in Essex as a Social Worker, focusing on both public and private law related to family court proceedings. This role is essential in providing advanced social work-level services to children, families, and courts, ensuring the well-being and safety of children throughout the process. The position requires flexibility and the ability to manage a fast-paced workload effectively.
Day-to-day of the role: *Assess and analyse court applications for child protection and serious welfare issues.
*Influence those with parental responsibility to focus more on the child’s needs and advise courts and local authorities on safeguarding concerns.
*Support judicial case management and ensure the child’s voice is heard in the court arena.
*Engage in high-quality direct work with children and their families.
*Maintain high throughput of outstanding casework, ensuring all work is rated good or outstanding.
*Work flexibly around the service area, attending court, meeting children in person, and participating in office meetings and learning opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Diploma in Social Work (or equivalent recognised by Social Work England).
*Minimum of three years post-qualifying experience in social work with children and families at risk.
*Demonstrated skills in assessment, case analysis, and effective communication with children and families.
*Ability to work autonomously and manage workload in a fast-paced environment.
*Competent use of IT and electronic systems for case planning and recording.
*Must have access to transport for visiting families across Essex.
