Job Description:
Grafton Banks Finance are working with a global services company with offices in Crawley, West Sussex to recruit an Accounts Assistant / Receivables specialist on a full-time permanent basis. Working within a small friendly team and reporting into the head of Finance to support with the smooth running of all aspects of finance with a primary responsibility for the Accounts Receivable function.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
*Accounts receivable
*Processing of multi-currency customer invoices and credit notes
*Maintain customer accounts, perform credit checks and review credit terms on a regular basis to minimise the risk of bad debts
*Reconciliation of customer accounts and issue of statements
*Credit control management through regular communication with customers to ensure that all receivables are collected on a timely basis
*Resolving customer queries as appropriate Support accounts payable as required to include:
*Processing multi-currency purchases invoices and credit notes
*Monitoring of accounts payable mail inbox Process supplier payments
*Multi-currency bank reconciliations
*Month-end accounting tasks
*Filing & archiving requirements
*Other ad hoc finance and administration tasks as required
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years practical working experience within a similar varied finance role. You will need to be proficient in IT including MS Office and Excel alongside experience of working with an accounting package such as Sage or XERO. You will need to be self-motivated and a strong team player alongside excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
