City Elite Transaction Services are delighted to be working with a globally recognised Trading and Shipping firm, assisting them in their search for a Senior Contracts Analyst for their London office.
The primary function of this role is to ensure data integrity and accuracy of risk undertaken by the business through a thorough trade verification and contract review process. The ideal candidate will help improve contract management processes and contribute to building a stable, quality-driven, and control-focused contracts desk.
Duties
*Reconcile trades within the system.
*Review counterparty contracts, focusing on purchase agreements for bulk cargo transactions.
*Manage the full contract life-cycle and counterparty contracts.
*Identify and mitigate risks associated with contract terms.
*Manage the confirmation process for marine bunker deals.
*Maintain strong audit trails and document management best practices.
*Ensure best practice contract management at all critical control points.
*Identify process gaps and assist in implementing enhancements.
Required Skills / Experience
*Experience as a Contracts Analyst within the physical commodities (Oil) sector.
*Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management.
*Strong knowledge with industry T&Cs and Incoterms.
*Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
*Team-player mentality.
*Ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet tight deadlines.
*Excellent communication skills.
*Experience in standardised confirmation processes is a plus.
