SEN Teaching Assistant --- Westbury

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs within our network of schools in Bristol and the surrounding areas.

This role is best suited for individuals who can:
*Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
*Support the teacher in delivering informative and engaging lessons
*Support students with challenging behavior
*Prepare for lessons (e.g. preparing resources, putting out equipment)
*Support with some of the pupils’ additional care needs (e.g. feeding, toileting)
*Support the children in completing day-to-day tasks around the classroom and with their learning
*Ensure that pupils are safeguarded and supported
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
*Eligibility to work in UK
*Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
*Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
*2 recent professional references
*Experience with challenging behaviors
*A calm & caring personality
*A strong and resilient personality and be committed to pupils’ development
*Reading, writing, numeracy and communication skills
*Team Teach trained - or willing to attend training
