Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join a dynamic and innovative company operating in the creative and fashion retail industry. Based in West London, this role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a highly regarded business that combines artistry with operational excellence.
Contract Length: 6-12 months
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Working Days: 5 days office based
Location: West London
Ideal Start Date: Immediate or within short notice

Responsibilities
As a Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of the organization. Your responsibilities will include:
*Preparing monthly management accounts, including insightful commentary and detailed variance analysis.
*Overseeing the trial balance, ensuring its accuracy and making required adjustments.
*Managing the month-end process, including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
*Conducting stock reconciliations, ensuring proper valuation and tracking across the supply chain.
*Providing expert guidance on VAT compliance, preparing and submitting VAT returns.
*Collaborating with teams to monitor budgets and forecasts, and providing variance explanations.
*Supporting statutory accounts preparation and liaising with external auditors.
*Analyzing and optimizing stock movements and costs to improve profitability.
*Ensuring all financial processes align with current regulations and best practices.
We are looking for a candidate who brings a mix of technical expertise, industry experience, and professional qualifications:
Qualifications:
*Newly qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or in the final stages of qualification.
Experience:
*Proven background in management accounting, including month-end reporting.
*Experience with stock accounting and reconciliations, preferably in a fashion or retail environment.
*Strong VAT experience, including preparation and submission of returns.
*Previous experience in the fashion or retail industry is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
*Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP systems.
