Job Description:
Brand new opportunity for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join a Private Healthcare Group in Manchester.
Role: In-House Clinical Negligence Solicitor
Location: Manchester
Salary: £50k - £63k + Bonus
Working closely with a Senior Solicitor as part of a wider in-house legal team, you’ll manage an existing caseload, providing bespoke legal advice to frontline and governance teams. Additionally, you’ll undertake some general in-house duties related to contracts, business growth and data protection. A full flavour of the duties is listed below
*First line oversight of defending an active clinical / medical malpractice caseload from start to finish (from pre to post action)
*Claims adjusting and handling
*Stakeholder management including externally engaged consultants including surgeons and other medical practitioners, our senior management team, our insurer, external law firms and counsel engagement (including selection, brief preparation, and some potential court attendance)
*Responding to and managing negotiations and ongoing case management with claimant law firms
*Providing bespoke, expert clinical negligence legal advice including evidence gathering, liaison with medical experts and negotiating settlements
*Keeping up to date with changes in personal injury law, vicarious liability and costs regime change
Applications are invited from Defendant or Claimant Clinical Negligence Solicitors from 5PQE upwards. You’ll be joining a fast paced, growing business with exciting plans for the next few years. Hybrid working is in operation
