Job Description:
The Product Manager will play a key role in managing the wealth division’s bond product portfolio, including both open and closed products, across UK and international markets. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract designed to ensure the bond product range delivers value and meets regulatory and customer expectations.
The role encompasses day-to-day product management, regular reviews of the product and customer journey, and oversight of fair value assessments to ensure positive customer outcomes. Additionally, the Product Manager will maintain advisor and customer-facing literature, ensuring all communications are clear, fair, and not misleading.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the open and closed bond product range, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
• Conduct regular product reviews to assess competitiveness, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
• Lead customer journey reviews, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring an excellent client experience.
• Carry out fair value assessments to ensure good customer outcomes, meeting regulatory requirements and internal standards.
• Collaborate with marketing and compliance teams to ensure product literature is clear, accurate, and not misleading.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments to inform product strategy.
• Respond to advisor and customer feedback, addressing issues and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
• Support the development and delivery of training materials for internal teams and external advisors.
• Work closely with actuarial, legal, and operations teams to manage product performance and risk.
• Prepare reports and updates for senior stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
Essential Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience in product management within financial services, ideally in bonds or investment products.
• Strong knowledge of UK and international wealth management markets.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, including fair value assessments and consumer duty requirements.
• Experience conducting customer journey reviews and delivering customer-centric improvements.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess product performance and market competitiveness.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Detail-oriented approach to ensure the accuracy of customer and advisor-facing materials.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
• Knowledge of retirement planning and protection products.
• Experience working on fixed-term or project-based roles.
• Familiarity with international markets and regulatory environments.
• Proficiency in tools and software for data analysis and project management.
