To assist the quality manager to improve both product and process across all aspects of the business. To develop CI plans that provide positive impacts on quality throughout the business
Client Details
We are representing a trusted manufacturer based in Leeds that are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team.
Description
* Establish, document, and implement quality control and assurance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure products or services meet regulatory and customer requirements
* Design and oversee tests and inspection processes to identify defects, verify compliance with specifications, and ensure product reliability and safety.
* Analyse production workflows and processes to identify inefficiencies or risks. Implement solutions to enhance quality, reduce defects, and optimise performance.
* Investigate product failures or process issues using tools like Fishbone Diagrams, 5 Whys, or FMEA to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
* Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality specifications. Perform audits and monitor supplier performance to mitigate risks in the supply chain.
* Maintain detailed records of quality assurance activities, test results, and corrective actions. Generate reports to communicate findings, compliance status, and continuous improvement efforts to stakeholders.
Profile
*Qualified Auditor
*Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
*Computer literate
*Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001)
*Working knowledge of PPAP/APQP tools and methods.
*Experience with D.F.M.E.A. and P.F.M.E.A.
*Working knowledge of LEAN principles
*Understanding of Six Sigma D.M.A.I.C.
