We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator to join our client who are a multi-regional MEP contractor. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in winning commercial new build and refurbishment projects, preferably within Life Sciences with specific experience working on projects ranging from £500k to £2m.

A comprehensive knowledge of M&E systems is essential for this role.

Responsibilities
Working within the pre construction team you will be :
• Conducting material take-offs and sending out subcontractor and supplier inquiries.
• Preparing cost estimates based on labour, plant, materials, and subcontractor rates.
• Reviewing technical specifications and ensuring compliance with client requirements.
• Attending site surveys, mid and post-bid interviews, and pre-award meetings.
• Managing and developing client relationships and procuring new project enquiries.

Experience
• Must have previous experience pricing/estimating commercial jobs
• Must be able to understand technical drawings
• Able to use excel spreadsheets
• In depth knowledge of M&E costing for Life Science/Healthcare projects
• Must be a team player
• Qualifications within building services are desirable
