Salary: £35,235 to £37,938 per annum
Contract Type: Fixed Term contact until September 2026. Final end date will be confirmed with the successful candidate.
Working Pattern: Full-time (37 hours per week) Monday to Friday
Location: County Hall North, Horsham Madeira Ave, Horsham RH12 1AB (Hybrid and Flexible Working).

This role offers hybrid working arrangements and will require you to work from county council office buildings and make regular visits to meet other partners, as well as the flexibility of home working as appropriate. Final arrangements to be confirmed with successful candidate.
You will need to be able to travel independently around the county, including to areas that may not be easily accessible by public transport. Pool cars and pool bikes available.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated professional who can compassionately engage in direct work with survivors of domestic and sexual violence and abuse, to ensure they receive an appropriate service and are able to access support.
On a day-to-day basis, you will work within a collaborative multi-agency setting, ensuring that the safety of our clients remains at the centre of every coordinated response. You will also be required to deliver training.
This role includes the critical task of managing crises for victims and survivors at high risk, providing compassionate, trauma-informed support and advocacy that prioritizes the safety and well-being of the victim/survivor and their children.
As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing and assisting victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence and abuse, increasing their safety and the safety of their families.

About You
This is a role that requires someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as personal resilience and professionalism when dealing with potentially sensitive, confidential, or distressing queries.
You will have keen attention to detail, be comfortable working independently and be at ease in this fast-paced, agile environment with rapidly changing deadlines, workloads, and priorities.
Demonstrating experience of working in a multi-agency environment, you will have a passion for supporting victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence and will be able to communicate effectively with multi-agency partners, so that their voices are heard.
Whilst managing a caseload, you will have the ability to assess risk, interpret individual needs and develop appropriate safety, support, and action plans.
