Working for an owner managed B2B supply and distribution business, who pride themselves on their consultative approach and strong customer focus. With a turnover of over £10 million they are seeking an experienced Accountant to join their modest team based at their office in Newcastle under Lyme.
As the standalone finance professional within this specialist business, you will have exposure to all financial activity, providing support to the owners, and taking accountability for financial transactions and guidance, whilst building relationships with key external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will offer a collaborative approach, be inquisitive by nature and confident working directly with owner managers.
The business offer benefits such as 23 days holiday + bank holidays and private healthcare on completion of your probation period.
What we need from you?
*Monthly management accounts
*Processing supplier/inventory invoices.
*Credit control duties.
*Update cash receipts.
*Transfer cash balances between accounts.
*Send sales invoices.
*Reconciling proforma payments/sending VAT invoices.
*Stock management, warehouse transfers, and adjustments
*Monitoring customer credit limits.
*Foreign currency payments
*Quarterly VAT payments and returns.
*Month-end supplier payments.
*Processing credit card expenses.
What you need to succeed?
*Previous experience operating in a similar role and working closely with the Directors would be a distinct advantage.
*Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
*Experienced user of Excel
*Xero experience would be an advantage, however this is not essential.

Details – Part time – Ideally 30 hours per week across 5 days. Full-time will be considered.
Location – Newcastle-under-Lyme
Salary - £40k + benefits
