Job Title: Employee Relations Lead (Interim)
Location: London with home/office hybrid opportunity
Contract Details: Temporary (potentially to become permanent!)
Salary: £215-£250/day depending on experience

Responsibilities:
As an Employee Relations Lead, you will play a crucial role in providing professional advice and guidance on a range of employee relations issues. You will support the day-to-day operational management of these issues across the organisation, collaborating with various stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:
*Managing all complex ER casework, including employment tribunals and queries related to sickness absence, disciplinary issues, grievances, bullying, harassment, and capability
*Providing clear and effective advice to managers and leaders on employee relations processes, while considering legal, financial, and reputational risks
*Developing and implementing alternative dispute resolution approaches to prevent the escalation of disputes
*Collaborating with wider teams and groups to enhance the workplace experience for workers and employees
*Identifying trends, improvements, and implementing appropriate reporting mechanisms for employee relations cases
*Engaging with stakeholders to address concerns, develop project plans, and ensure effective communication
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
*CIPD qualified with evidence of ongoing professional development
*Experience with ER case work for zero hour contract workers, casual work staff and/or contingent workforce
*Substantial experience in employee relations, coupled with strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures
*Understanding of worker status, terms and conditions, and experience in a unionised environment
*In-depth knowledge of employment legislation and ability to apply it in practise
*Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail
*Problem-solving, negotiation, and influencing skills to engage key stakeholders
*Ability to conduct investigations objectively, gather relevant facts/perspectives, and recommend appropriate actions
*Highly organised with the ability to manage competing deadlines and high workloads
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle ambiguity and complexity
*Empathy, resilience, and adaptability
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
*Experience in mediation and facilitation techniques
*Knowledge of diversity and inclusion best practises
*Understanding of HR systems and technologies
Technologies:
*Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
*Experience with HR management systems
