Test Team Lead (Oracle Fusion & Workday)

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Test Team Lead to join them and lead the testing efforts for key system changes and programs, with a focus on Oracle Fusion and Workday.
As part of a best-in-class test team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our client’s systems and applications by overseeing comprehensive testing strategies and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
This role also includes a leadership component, where you will mentor and coordinate a talented team of testers, all while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
As Test Team Lead you key responsibilities are:
*Test Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies for Oracle Fusion and Workday systems, ensuring thorough coverage for functional, system integration, and user acceptance testing in alignment with business requirements.
*Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with technical teams, business analysts, and project managers to ensure that test plans align with business needs, system configurations, and requirements. Facilitate smooth communication and alignment across teams to support successful project delivery.
*Defect Management & Reporting: Oversee defect tracking and resolution, ensuring that defects are properly documented, tracked, and addressed. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on testing progress, defect status, risk assessments, and overall testing health.
*Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve test frameworks, tools, and processes. Ensure the adoption of industry best practices in testing to improve efficiency, accuracy, and coverage.
*Hands-On Testing: While the role is primarily focused on leadership and coordination, you will also be involved in writing new test cases, reviewing automated test results, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that testing remains aligned with the evolving needs of the organisation.
Key Requirements:
*Strong understanding of Oracle Fusion and Workday ERP systems, specifically modules such as HCM (Human Capital Management) and Finance, to ensure relevant testing strategies are developed and executed.
*Proven experience in designing, managing, and executing comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts. Knowledge of various testing methodologies (e.g., functional, system integration, UAT) and tools.
*Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to lead and inspire a testing team, manage priorities, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
*A minimum of ISTQB Foundation Level certification in software testing.
*Experience in managing defect tracking systems, providing clear and concise defect status updates, and delivering metrics on testing progress and quality.
Desirable Skills:
*Test Automation: Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Oracle ATS, or Workday-specific tools is highly desirable.
*Familiarity with JIRA: Experience using JIRA for managing test cases, tracking defects, and working in Agile environments is a plus.
*Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the ability to work within Agile teams to deliver continuous value is beneficial.
