Job Description:
Our client who are a well-established player in the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a dedicated and efficient Stores Person on a contract basis to manage their warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities: *Maintain accurate inventory records by regularly updating stock levels
*Conduct regular stock takes and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
*Receive and inspect incoming deliveries, ensuring quantities and quality match purchase orders
*Organise and store materials, tools, and equipment efficiently within the warehouse
*Prepare and package items for dispatch according to company standards
*Coordinate with internal departments to fulfil their material and equipment needs
*Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse
*Assist with the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse operations
Job Requirements: *Experience in warehouse operations and inventory management
*Counter Balance forklift and Full UK driving licenses required
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
*Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts (licence preferred)
*Understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting
*Basic computer skills for inventory management systems
*Effective communication skills and a proactive attitude
*Capability to work independently and as part of a team
Hours: 8.30am - 4.30pm (Monday to Friday)
Pay:
c£13.33 per hour (Depending on experience)
