The role involves managing and processing payroll duties within the fast-paced FMCG industry.

Michael Page is excited to partner with a leading European FMCG business who are actively recruiting for a Payroll Specialist to join their finance team in Glasgow.
Description
· Supporting the weekly payroll processing for around 200 staff
· Data extraction from the time and attendance software
· Review times and verify that the hours worked are accurate
· Calculate holiday payments and accruals
· Process statutory payments
· Process HMRC downloads - tax code, RTI changes and student loans
· Manage deductions for third parties such as earnings arrestment’s/DEAS/ Court Orders through the payroll
· Preparation, analysis, and issue payroll reports to the wider business
· Perform checks in relation to national minimum wage to ensure HMRC compliance
· Invoice matching to purchase orders and delivery notes.
· Electronic invoice processing
· Purchase price & quantity analysis
· Statement reconciliations
· Responding to supplier queries
Profile
The successful candidate should have:
* Minimum 2 years previous payroll experience
* Excellent numeracy and attention to detail
* Excellent IT skills, with particular focus on Microsoft Excel skills including Vlookups, Pivot Tables
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with employees regarding their pay and various department heads
* The ability to work to tight deadlines and in a high-pressure environment
* Confidentiality and respect for employee privacy is paramount
