Job Description:
Head of Finance - Asset Management - OUR CLIENT is an expanding international group who have made substantial commercial investments in the UK property market. As they continue to grow and progress their UK business, they have instructed us to help them employ an experienced Head of Finance to take responsibility of existing and newly acquired commercial assets in London and across the UK.
THE ROLE responsibilities for the Head of Finance will include:
*Reporting to the Head of Asset Management the role will focus on all financial reporting, analysis and accounting requests for the real estate assets portfolio.
*Preparing annual budget and rolling forecasts.
*Developing and implementing financial and accounting strategies.
*Reviewing and consolidating internal financial and investment reports.
*Responsible for the periodic preparation of accounts including income and expenditure, balance sheets and cash flows.
*Managing internal and external audits and assisting in all tax related matters.
*Providing recommendations to optimize the quality of revenue, cost and profit.
*Supporting the team with new investment opportunities and new business models proposals as and when required.
*Ensuring that both the company and property assets remain compliant.
*Coordinating periodic property and rental valuations.
*Assisting with any restructuring and refinancing as required.
*Handling any ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned.
THE PERSON and SKILL REQUIREMENTS for the Head of Finance role are:
*Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA etc) with an associated degree.
*At least 7 years’ experience in a comparable position with financial management and commercial property experience with at least 3 years at a senior level.
*Well-developed financial modeling skills with strong analytical mind.
*Good commercial sense, with strong problem solving and communication skills.
*Excellent communication skills and a high standard of written and spoken English.
*Proven track record in delivering high levels of customer service.
*Experience of meeting operational targets in a demanding working environment.
*Ability to work with people at all levels to achieve results.
*Excellent organizational and time management skills.
*Knowledge of overseas accounting standards and tax rules / regulations would be an advantage.
*Strong Excel / MS Office knowledge along with property management systems (QUBE, YARDI, Tramps, etc.)
