ROLE – Senior Chemical Process Engineer  

SALARY - £70,000- £100,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

TYPE – Permanent

LOCATION – West Berkshire  

My client designs and manufactures specialist equipment for process industries. They are looking for a Senior Chemical Process Engineer to join their team in West Berkshire on a permanent basis.    

The Senior Chemical Process Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: *At least 7-10 years of relevant experience in chemical process engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment 
*Knowledge of / experienced with thermal processes
*A degree (BEng, MEng, MSc, or PhD) in Chemical Engineering or a related field
*Strong Project Management skills
*Strong knowledge of process design, scale-up, and optimization
*Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD)
*Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., COMAH, HSE)
*Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
*Excellent leadership skills, and ideally some people management experience
*Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
*Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team

Responsibilities include: *Leading the design, development, and optimisation of chemical processes
*Solving problems and improving engineering processes
*Conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments for new and existing projects
*Overseeing the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
*Managing and mentoring junior engineers and supporting their professional development
*Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including R&D, production, and quality assurance
*Preparing technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
*Pushing for constant progression for product development and manufacturing techniques
