Job Description:
Empowering Learning are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Learning Support Assistant’s to join our dedicated team in the Teesside area. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for supporting young people and helping them reach their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Learning Support Assistants play a key role in the educational development of a young person that needs additional 1:1 support. Providing consistency and tailored learning to the young child.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing support to students with a range of special educational needs.
Assisting with classroom activities, including one-on-one support and group work.
Promoting inclusion and a positive learning environment.
Working closely with teachers and other school staff to meet the individual needs of the child.
Maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment.
Adapting to different school settings and environments.
Requirements:
Relevant experience working as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant in a Mainstream or SEN setting however those that have worked in a care background would also be considered. A passion for working with children and young people with special educational needs.
Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school settings.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and commit to and be able to work full time 5 days a week.
A positive and compassionate attitude towards students
