Key Requirements:
*Proven expertise in gas welding, brazing, and silver soldering, especially with brass and steel.
*Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
*Familiarity with preheating techniques and their importance in achieving weld quality.
*Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality results.
*Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
*Reliable, punctual, and willing to work overtime when necessary.
*Able to follow detailed instructions and work both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
*Perform gas welding, brazing, and silver soldering on brass and steel components to create durable canisters.
*Preheat materials to prevent cracking and achieve optimal weld quality.
*Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to apply the correct welding techniques.
*Inspect welds to ensure they meet stringent quality standards and specifications.
*Maintain and ensure the safety of welding equipment and tools.
*Troubleshoot and resolve welding issues, adjusting techniques as needed.
*Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project deadlines and quality expectations.
*Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to health and safety regulations.
*Document welding activities and promptly report any issues to management.
