In June 2023, Southwark Leisure Services transitioned to full Council management, opening an exciting new chapter. We’re building a future where sport and active recreation are accessible to everyone, enhancing quality of life and well-being across the borough. As a Leisure Procurement Manager, you’ll play a vital role in delivering this vision.
What You’ll Do
As a key part of our dynamic team, you’ll:
*Lead the procurement of revenue and capital contracts for leisure services.
*Manage end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring exceptional standards and innovation in our facilities.
*Collaborate with senior management to support strategic procurement activities.
*Deliver briefings and workshops to upskill leisure staff on procurement best practices.
This is more than a procurement role—it’s an opportunity to shape Southwark’s leisure landscape for years to come.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
*Procurement Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of legislation and best practices in procurement.
*Project Management Skills: Experience managing diverse projects, applying PPM methodologies to achieve success.
*Contract Management Know-How: Proven ability to procure, monitor, and negotiate contracts effectively.
*Relationship Building: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholders.
