Job Description:
Salt is recruiting for an immediate requirement with a central government client for a Digital Programme Delivery Lead.
This is an Inside IR35 contract for 18 months at a day rate of £600-650. The role is based in Wiltshire, with some detached duty required at other locations.
An active SC Clearance is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
*Manage the end-to-end delivery of digital projects and product enhancements, ensuring alignment with live service support objectives.
*Lead the delivery of all digital development, including the integration of COTS systems and technical development to support business goals.
*Collaborate with internal resources, third-party developers, and Digital Product Owners to shape and manage the delivery backlog.
*Build and maintain motivated delivery teams, ensuring iterative plans align with delivery commitments.
*Drive delivery outcomes, resolve blockers, and escalate issues when necessary to maintain project momentum.
*Apply Agile and lean tools and techniques to facilitate continuous improvement across the team.
*Deliver high-quality programmatic artefacts, including the proactive maintenance of risk and dependency records.
*Ensure effective demand signalling and resource allocation to support delivery schedules.
*Proactively manage project budgets, ensuring expenditure aligns with forecasts.
*Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to support program delivery.
Key Experience and Skills:
*Recognised Project Management qualification (e.g., APM PMQ).
*Proven experience using Agile project management methods and toolsets.
*10+ years of project management experience, with at least 5+ years in equivalent roles delivering digital services.
*Experience managing third parties and cross-functional delivery teams, including remote and external resources.
*Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, motivate, and inspire delivery teams.
*Proven track record in delivering projects within agreed quality, cost, and time tolerances.
*Experience in risk and dependency management and delivering accurate program schedules and cost models.
*Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
*Rates depend on experience and client requirements
