About the Role:
Horizon Teachers is currently working with a range of secondary schools in Camden who are seeking dedicated and flexible Supply Teachers to join their teams on a daily and short-term basis. If you are a qualified teacher looking for a flexible working arrangement or to gain experience in different school environments, this is an ideal opportunity for you.
As a Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring that students continue to receive high-quality education in your absence. You will be stepping into classrooms of all subjects and year groups (KS3-KS4), maintaining discipline and ensuring the continuation of the school’s curriculum while providing support to students.
Key Responsibilities:
*Deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects (KS3 and KS4)
*Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment
*Ensure all work is completed as per lesson plans, providing feedback where necessary
*Adapt to different school environments and work with students from various backgrounds
*Support students with any additional needs, as required
*Help maintain high standards of teaching and learning during your placement
The Ideal Candidate:
*A qualified teacher with experience in secondary education (ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply)
*Flexible, adaptable, and able to quickly adjust to different classroom environments
*Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain focus during short-term placements
*Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students
