We are seeking a highly skilled Adult Safeguarding Social Worker to join our dedicated team at London Borough of Bexley. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable adults.
Key Responsibilities:
*Conduct comprehensive assessments of vulnerable adults, identifying their needs and risks.
*Develop and implement effective care plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of adults at risk.
*Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals, including health, police, and other social services, to ensure coordinated support.
*Undertake complex casework, including child protection inquiries and safeguarding investigations.
*Provide specialist advice and guidance to colleagues and external agencies.
*Represent the local authority in court proceedings, as required.
*Promote a person-centered approach, empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their lives.
Essential Requirements:
*Social Work qualification (Degree or equivalent)
*Registration with Social Work England
*Significant experience in adult safeguarding
*Strong assessment, planning, and intervention skills
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Ability to work under pressure and manage complex caseloads
*Commitment to safeguarding vulnerable adults
