Job Description:
We are currently looking for a Management Accountant who will be reporting directly to the Finance Director, the candidate will have accountability for the day-to-day execution of the Finance function.
Responsibilities
*Formulate and evaluate strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts for the group within set timelines.
*Evaluate existing systems and develop/replace to facilitate the company’s expansion plans in future.
*Deliver support to the Senior Management Team in all areas relating to finance, building budgets and forecasts to ensure accuracy of data and operational information.
*Effectively manage, evaluate, and negotiate external relationships with auditors, bankers, and other partners
*Enable the company to bring payroll back in house and oversee weekly and monthly function.
*Review existing systems and introduce new systems and processes to increase the company’s efficiency and reduce costs.
*Take responsibility for cash projection management, debtors.
*Establish cost / profit centre and reporting, including performance per square foot allocation.
*Manage margins, resources and working capital.
*Monitor team performance and identify development needs.
*Support the FD to oversee, direct, and organise the work of the finance team.
*Access and evaluate investment opportunities and provide balanced recommendations.
Person Specification:
* Ideally CIMA or part CIMA Qualified
* Flexible to change and agile enough to react very quickly, often working under pressure.
* Effective communication and presentation skills, delivering rich data for decision making.
* Applicants must be eligible to reside and work in the UK.
* Strong organisational and people management skills
