Job Description:
Reed Property & Construction are delighted to be working with a successful award-winning Chartered Quantity Surveyors and Cost Managers.
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
The successful candidate will manage projects from inception to completion, with project values typically ranging from £500k to over £5m. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including traditional PQS duties, Contract Administration, and Project Management.
Day-to-day of the role:
Take on projects at varying stages, ensuring successful delivery from inception through to completion.
Manage costs and budgets of construction projects, including tracking variations, claims, and controlling expenses.
Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
Perform risk, value management, and cost control during construction.
Advise on procurement strategy and contractual claims.
Measure and value the work done on site.
Liaise with clients and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers, and site engineers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven PQS experience.
Strong understanding of Pre & Post Contract Duties.
Knowledge of JCT contracts.
Possession of a full UK driving licence.
A relevant Quantity Surveying Degree.
