Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Business Development Manager with a strong passion for renewable energy to join our growing team. This role will focus primarily on converting inbound leads into successful projects and long-term partnerships. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in B2B sales and business development along with the ability to engage, qualify, and convert inbound inquiries efficiently and effectively. Success in this role requires a customer-centric approach, deep knowledge of renewable energy solutions, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead Qualification & Conversion *Qualify and prioritise inbound leads, identifying high-potential opportunities that align with the company’s renewable energy portfolio.
*Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand client objectives, budget, and project scope, and match these with appropriate renewable solutions.
*Engage with prospective clients through phone calls, virtual meetings, and email communications, providing initial project guidance and information.

*Sales & Pipeline Management *Manage a consistent pipeline of inbound leads, ensuring timely follow-ups and communication at each stage of the sales cycle.
*Convert qualified leads into contracts and revenue-generating projects, working to exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
*Utilise CRM software to track, manage, and report on lead conversion metrics, pipeline status, and sales projections.

*Client Relationship Building & Management *Build strong relationships with prospective clients, including commercial enterprises, municipalities, and utilities, to foster trust and facilitate conversions.
*Maintain regular follow-ups with prospects to address questions, provide product updates, and nurture them through the decision-making process.
*Collaborate closely with the marketing team to share feedback on lead quality and identify trends to improve lead generation efforts.

*Technical Knowledge & Solution Selling *Stay updated on the latest renewable energy technologies (e.g., solar, wind, energy storage) and provide clients with well-informed guidance on their options.
*Tailor solutions to meet the unique needs of each lead, offering insights on energy savings, sustainability impact, and regulatory compliance.
*Prepare and present detailed proposals, working with technical teams to ensure accurate project specifications and feasibility assessments.

*Collaboration with Internal Teams *Work closely with project development, engineering, and finance teams to ensure client requirements and project feasibility are well-aligned.
*Collaborate with marketing to share insights on lead behavior, enabling continuous optimization of inbound marketing efforts.
*Partner with senior management to refine lead conversion strategies based on market trends and company goals.

*Performance Tracking & Reporting *Track and report key performance metrics related to lead conversion, including response times, conversion rates, and sales cycle duration.
*Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement in lead management processes.

Qualifications:
*Experience: 3+ years of experience in business development or sales, with a focus on inbound lead conversion.
*Skills: *Excellent communication and active listening skills, with the ability to identify client needs quickly.
*Proficiency in CRM software, such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar, and strong data management skills.
*Strong negotiation and contract management abilities.
*Strategic, self-motivated, and results-oriented mindset.
