Job Description:
HR Business Partner (Generalist) is required for global research technology company who are at the forefront of technology which helps to enhance people’s daily lives across its products. Based in offices in Cambridge, this role is hybrid working 3 days on-site and 2 days from home.
As HR Business Partner you will be part of a wider HR team, but this role is a stand-alone role when you’re on-site, so you will be responsible for the full HR generalist lifecycle.
In reward for this position, you will be paid a salary up to £70,000 p.a. plus great bonus and benefit package.
You will be responsible for providing a professional and comprehensive HR support service to c. 45 people on-site. This is a very hands-on HR generalist position for an HR expert who has a passion for and experience in technology organisations (ideally SME’s or startups). Working closely with the Head of department, you’ll help them understand and effectively implement policies, procedures and best practice.
The successful HR Business Partner (Generalist) will have/be:
*CIPD Level 5 or higher.
*Ideally degree educated.
*Be available immediately or on a short notice period.
*Experience within a tech or tech start up organisation.
*Knowledge of visa and immigration requirements.
*Be commercially minded with a practical hands on approach.
Your duties as HR Business Partner include:
*Manage the full HR cycle, including but not limited to managing onboarding, flexible work requests, Maternity, Paternity and Adoption requests.
*Implement all required administration, policies, procedures and communication for the employee lifecycle, including accurate and timely maintenance of all HR Systems and records.
*Liaise with senior stakeholders, providing guidance on a variety of HR issues.
*Supporting managers, team leaders and employees on HR policies and practices.
*Work with the HR Business Partner to support operational activity.
*Support line managers to develop knowledge and good performance management practice.
*Maintaining an awareness of current HR legislation and employment law.
*Promoting positive workplace Employee Relations and resolving issues when they arise.
*Contribute to and support the alignment of activities, practices and policies by providing local input and support in the delivery and implementation of key HR projects.
