Job Description:
Biology Teacher *Job Type: Part-time (4-5 days per week)
*Location: Manchester, Hulme
*Salary: £30 - £35 per hour
We are seeking a dedicated Biology Teacher for a fantastic college in the Hulme, Manchester area on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in Biology, this role is ideal for someone who has experience in preparing and delivering biology lessons to A Level students. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons and fostering a positive learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role: *Plan, deliver, and assess Biology lessons to meet curriculum standards.
*Engage students with dynamic teaching methods that cater to a range of learning styles.
*Set clear objectives for all lessons, and ensure that they are communicated effectively to students.
*Mark students’ work diligently and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
*Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic progress.
*Contribute to the development of teaching resources and schemes of work.
*Support students in achieving their highest potential through tailored instruction and encouragement.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
*Proven experience teaching Biology, including at A-Level.
*Strong subject knowledge across Biology and general Science topics.
*Understanding of SEN (Special Educational Needs) and safeguarding procedures.
*Ability to create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.
*Excellent organisational and communication skills.
