Job Description:
We are now working with a US global investment firm.
They manage a $multi billion portfolio of assets for their institutional investor base.
They are now looking to recruit a Credit Research Associate into their team, who will work with their very successful Portfolio Managers on the analysis of both investment and subinvestment grade debt.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities will include:
* Credit analyst working with senior colleagues on IG and HY debt
* Develop unique research insights, in order to arrive at well supported investment conclusions;
* Independently conduct proprietary credit research based on data gathered from underlying market fundamentals and company filings, attend company management meetings, and utilize additional independent research sources to build investment conviction;
* Build multi-year financial models, to determine appropriate valuations under various scenarios;
* Help to generate investment ideas, and provide monitoring of positions across client strategies;
* Work closely with colleagues as part of a highly collaborative platform, sharing ideas and offering feedback.
QUALIFICATIONS
Additional qualifications and characteristics are likely to include:
* 1-4 years of relevant experience as Credit Analyst, gained either on the Buy or Sell side with an asset manager, hedge fund, investment bank, private equity or private credit firm, with a commensurate level of understanding of company financial statements.
* Strong academic credentials.
