This role sits within the Chief Operating Office (COO) division of the UK. The Business Supervision and Risk Specialist is responsible for ensuring the oversight, approval and execution of risk based activities from the wide range of tasks. Analyse and oversee the regulated sales process with the Private Bank including assessing training and competency. Contribute to proactively addressing new policies/ regulations, audit issues, and recommendations through proactive leadership and in partnership with Regulators, Group Audit, Compliance, Divisional Control Office and other control functions. The role holder will work collaborate with the Risk and Supervision Manager including complaints management, resiliency, disaster recovery plans, process ownership and provide MI (Management Information) quality and performance reporting into the relevant fora.
The role holder will also be supporting the UK COO in monitoring, overseeing and reporting the key regulatory components for qualifications relating to the FO (Front Office) individuals in line with their roles and client engagement.

Your key responsibilities *Analyse and oversee the regulated sales process within the Private Bank Wealth Management Business (WM) including assessing training and competency with reporting the key qualification in line roles and responsibilities
*Providing advice, guidance and support to individuals on the FO processes to be followed in line with the Senior Manager and Certification Regime
*Upholding all regulatory and compliance policies and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure that the Wealth Management (WM) function is fully protected for individuals operating with Significant Harm Functions
*Liaising with Licensing and Registrations Team, Human Resources, Advisory Compliance and Accredited Bodies where necessary to improve and enhance terms and conditions framework to support the Bank’s Fit and Proper standards and supporting individuals who fall under the Certification Regime
*Supporting the COO function where required, identify and mitigate risks and support projects to ensure the WM function is protected under run the Bank activity and changes in process and legislation
*Providing lead on resiliency, disaster recovery, critical process management, Governance and oversight thereof
Your skills and experience *Strong risk, control, training and competency management skills
*Knowledge of business governance, regulatory change and programme management experience
*Business process and workflow experience, knowledge of front and back-office flows relating to WM or other banking processes
*Business resiliency Governance
*Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and presentation
