Job Description:

We’re looking for a dynamic and talented English teacher to join our teams in Lancaster and Blackpool, supporting and guiding KS3 and KS4 students. We offer a competitive daily rate based on your experience and qualifications.
In this role, you will create engaging lessons in literature, reading, writing, and grammar, helping students develop critical thinking and strong communication skills. Your role will also involve nurturing a love for English, offering constructive feedback, and preparing students for their exams.

Responsibilities:
*Creating a positive learning environment through professionally planned lessons and classroom displays
*Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience in children
*Having control over the whole class and maintaining discipline
*Adhering to the curriculum, including up to date changes in the structure
*Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
*Set homework and mark promptly
*Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
*Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
*Strong subject knowledge
*Punctual and reliable
Preferred Skills:
*Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
*Strong classroom management
*Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
*Use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experience
Personal Attributes:
*You will have a genuine passion for teaching
*Experience up to key stage 3/4
*QTS/PGCE equivalent
*Be flexible and committed
