Office Manager - Hackney
Office Manager - Education
Office Manager - As Soon As Possible
Tempest Resourcing is collaborating with a secondary school in Hackney that is seeking an Office Manager to join their team. This position is temporary with the potential for permanent employment, and they are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
*Administrative Support: Manage and coordinate daily office operations, including answering phones, responding to emails, and greeting visitors.
*Scheduling: Organise meetings, appointments, and events for school staff, including parent-teacher conferences and school activities.
*Communication: Serve as a point of contact for parents, students, staff, and external parties, relaying messages and information efficiently
*Record Keeping: Maintain and update student records, attendance logs, and other important documentation, ensuring compliance with school policies.
*Financial Management: Oversee school budget tracking, process invoices, manage petty cash, and assist with payroll for school staff.
*Supply Management: Monitor and order office and classroom supplies, ensuring that materials are stocked and accessible.
Required Skills and experience
*Strong Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and stay organised in a fast-paced environment.
*Excellent Communication Skills: Clear and professional verbal and written communication to interact with students, staff, parents, and external vendors.
*Customer Service Orientation: Friendly, approachable demeanour to assist and respond to inquiries from parents, students, and visitors.
*Attention to Detail: Precision in managing student records, scheduling, financial tasks, and ensuring compliance with policies.
*Proficiency in Office Software: Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel), databases, and school management systems such as SIMs, Arbour etc
*Financial Management: Basic understanding of budgeting, invoicing, processing payments, and managing petty cash.
*Time Management: Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and handle interruptions while staying focused on key tasks.
*Previous experience within a school is favourable
