About the Role:
Horizon Teachers is currently working with a well-regarded secondary school in Hackney, who are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry to join their team on a long-term basis.

As the Chemistry specialist, you will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, delivering high-quality lessons that inspire a love of science. You will work closely with the science department to deliver engaging lessons, track student progress, and contribute to the development of the science curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
*Teach Chemistry to KS3 and KS4 students, creating engaging and differentiated lessons
*Plan, deliver, and assess lessons in line with the school’s curriculum
*Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and implement strategies to support academic achievement
*Contribute to the development of the science department and its resources
*Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment, fostering student engagement

The Ideal Candidate:
*A qualified Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry
*Proven experience teaching Chemistry at secondary school level (KS3 and KS4)
*Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Chemistry
*Excellent communication and classroom management skills
*Ability to create a positive learning environment and inspire students
*Strong team player with a commitment to the school’s ethos and values
