Job Description:
Customs Operator *Location: Liverpool city centre
*Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
*Salary: up to £32,000 DOE
Our growing client is looking to recruit a Customs Operator, where you will play a crucial role in coordinating and executing all aspects of the customs clearance process. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in customs operations, looking to further their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Day-to-day of the role: *Ensure that any duties or taxes paid on deferment are invoiced immediately for immediate payment, unless otherwise agreed
*Complete Import and Export declarations accurately within the allocated time frame
*Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
*Ensure compliance with UK customs regulations
*Ensure that import quotas, trade agreements, and customs regulations are completed correctly
*Complete CHED’s prior to arrival and check information on documents
*Responsible for invoicing on time and month-end closing periods
Required Skills & Qualifications: *An understanding of the export / import industry
*Familiarity with export / import paperwork and customs procedures
*Multimodal knowledge and knowledge of port community systems
*Understanding of the EMCS and NCTS systems
*Excellent communication skills across various methods
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*In-depth knowledge of customs regulations and procedures
