Buyer *Location: Macclesfield

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to enhance our client’s procurement team. This role is pivotal in sourcing and purchasing materials, components, and services essential for our manufacturing operations, requiring strong negotiation skills and a keen eye for detail.
Day-to-day of the role: *Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities
*Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible deals
*Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of materials to avoid production delays
*Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to understand material requirements and specifications
*Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance
*Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and pricing fluctuations
*Resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing with suppliers
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Proven experience as a Buyer, preferably in the aviation or manufacturing industry
*Strong negotiation and communication skills
*Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
*Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
*Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred
