Job Description:
PROPERTY LITIGATION SOLICITOR (FORFEITURE CLAIMS), NQ – 3 PQE, HERTFORDSHIRE, COMPETIVE £ SALARY + BENEFITS. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist property litigation practice that offers on-site parking, hybrid working, 25 days holiday, death in service and employee assistance programs, as well as discretionary bonuses. The appointed Solicitor will be dealing with all aspects of forfeiture claims through to enforcement, advising and representing a diverse range of clients in complex and challenging situations.
• You will handle a caseload of forfeiture claims involving unpaid ground rent, service charges, and AST breaches, offering clients clear, practical legal advice on the risks and options available in forfeiture proceedings.
• Your responsibilities will include drafting and issuing formal legal documents, such as notices and court applications, liaising with clients, managing agents, landlords, and third parties to ensure efficient case progression, and representing clients in court hearings when required.
• You should possess strong technical knowledge of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002, and other relevant case law – ensuring that all matters comply with current legislation.
• Excellent communication skills, a client-focused approach, and the ability to work independently are essential.
