*Salary: Dependent on experience
*Schedule: Monday to Friday working hours 8.30 am - 5.30 pm

The Senior Product Technologist will manage compliance across designated project categories, guiding products through all stages of regulatory, safety, and sustainability compliance. This role is responsible for overseeing the compliance lifecycle from initiation to final approval, ensuring all products meet rigorous regulatory and environmental standards. Additionally, the Senior Product Technologist will support the Quality and Compliance Manager in advancing our client’s sustainability goals, contributing to the company’s commitment to creating responsible and eco-conscious products.
This role requires project management skills, comprehensive regulatory knowledge, and a collaborative approach with internal teams and external partners, supporting the company’s dedication to safe, sustainable, and compliant products.
Responsibilities of the Senior Product Technologist
*Take ownership of compliance for designated project categories. Oversee each product’s compliance journey from initial assessment, sample reviews and then to final approval, ensuring adherence to all regulatory, safety, and sustainability standards
*Plan and execute the compliance process for assigned categories, including testing, certification, and documentation stages. Liaise with external testing facilities, regulatory bodies, and certification organizations as needed.
*Assist the Quality and Compliance Manager with strategic compliance initiatives, including documentation and process improvements that emphasize sustainability. Support larger, complex compliance projects that contribute to eco-friendly and ethical standards.
*Work closely with the compliance and product teams to ensure that sustainability considerations are embedded throughout the compliance process. Contribute to initiatives that enhance company environmental impact.
*Conduct risk assessments for new products within assigned categories. Develop and maintain detailed records for each product, ensuring documentation is complete, up-to-date, and easily accessible for audits and reviews.
*Collaborate with product development, design, and supply chain teams to incorporate compliance and sustainability requirements into the product lifecycle. Provide guidance to departments on compliance-related matters specific to your categories.
*Stay informed of regulatory updates and sustainability trends impacting your project categories. Implement any necessary changes to ensure compliance and communicate key updates to relevant stakeholders.
*Prepare compliance and sustainability reports specific to your categories for internal review, tracking key milestones and addressing any compliance or sustainability challenges. Act as the primary point of contact for compliance inquiries related to assigned categories.
Minimum Skills and Experience Required
*Demonstrated experience in a compliance or regulatory role, ideally with project management responsibilities across product categories.
*Knowledge of global regulatory standards, with expertise in product safety, sustainability, testing, and certification processes.
*Strong organisational and documentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
*A commitment to sustainability, with the ability to support eco-conscious initiatives and standards.
