Job Description:
Robert Half is proud to be partnering with a global company based in Manchester city center. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone newly ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified to progress within their career.
My client is looking for an ambitious and hard-working individual who can confidently manage a finance team. The role will requires an assured individual who will work with the support of the Global Finance Director to deliver key financial information, implement finance policies, procedures and governance controls across the group.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
*Produce and oversee production of management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow in a timely manner.
*Preparation of monthly finance pack with supporting commentary and variance analysis
*Balance sheet reconciliations
*Posting of month-end and year-end journals
*Supporting budgeting and forecasting
*Review spending against budgets, identifying overspend and advising on corrective actions
*Weekly cash-flow reporting/forecasting and variance analysis, ensuring payments are made and reconciled
*Quarterly group VAT submissions
*Production of monthly payroll file for submission to external payroll provider.
*Management and development of the finance assistant/outsourcers who support with the month-end processes
*Proactively identify and implement process, systems and reporting improvements across the department and wider-business
*Lead, plan and manage finance projects
*Provide all necessary information for completion of year-end accounts
*Business partnering with departments to provide support, information and ad-hoc reporting/analysis
Experience and skills required:
*Newly qualified accountant with industry experience preferably in an SME environment
*Experience of managing and mentoring a finance team
*Adherence to strict reporting deadlines
*Experience of using Xero, QB (desired, not essential)
*Strong Excel and reporting skills
*High attention to detail
*Strong understanding of accounting processes and standards
Salary and benefits
