Job Description:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a company, working in the built environment, dedicated to creating a more sustainable and inclusive society. As part of a period of growth there is a requirement for a Quantity Surveyor based on the outskirts of Sevenoaks.
Purpose:
To manage the financial and contractual administration of projects carried out by the company, ensuring that general QS duties are performed to the highest standard and ensuring full contractual and monetary entitlement.
Pre-contract - assist in the preparation of tenders as directed, and analyse tender quotes.
Procurement - Negotiate sub-contract packages. Draft and place sub-contract orders. Chair sub-contract interview meetings.
Main Contract - Prepare and submit alternative proposals for material and specifications to the client for approval. Prepare and agree monthly valuations with the clients representative. Develop and maintain close relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Sub-Contract - Prepare and negotiate interim valuations and final accounts. Measure value, negotiate as required
Financial - Use if company cost system. Full project profit and loss accountability. Manager CVR process. Forecast cash, on an accurate and timely basis. Ensure profit plans are understood.
Qualifications - 5 years experience. BSc in QS or similar commercial related course. Good data interrogation. Line management experience. Commercial awareness with good/legal/contractual knowledge desirable. Experience of Management Accounts. MS Office including Excel.
