Job Description:
SEMH KS3 TEACHER
Are you a dedicated and versatile teacher with a passion for inspiring young minds in a SEMH school setting? We are seeking a KS3 General Teacher with experience in managing challenging behaviour and a deep understanding of students’ mental health needs. Your strong teaching skills and ability to connect with students will play a vital role in their academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
*deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across various subjects for KS3 students.
*Manage classroom behaviour effectively, using strategies that support positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
*Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEMH needs.
*Collaborate with the wider teaching team and mental health professionals to provide holistic support.
*Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
*Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes both academic and personal growth.
Key Qualifications:
*Proven experience in SEMH settings.
*Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
*Expertise in adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
*Commitment to students’ mental health and well-being.
*Relevant teaching qualifications and a broad subject knowledge for KS3.
